Maryanne Tranter, PhD, CPNP-AC/PC Maryanne Tranter is a PhD-prepared, dual-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of clinical experience spanning the full continuum of pediatric care, including primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, and inpatient hospital medicine. She holds active national certifications as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in both Primary Care (CPNP-PC) and Acute Care (CPNP-AC) through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, and maintains active, unencumbered licenses in Texas, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Florida. Dr. Tranter has practiced at nationally recognized pediatric health systems including Texas Children's Hospital, Cincinnati Children's Medical Center, Nationwide Children's Hospital, and Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Hospital, as well as in locum tenens roles at Nemours Wolfson Children's Hospital and Oklahoma Children's Hospital. Her clinical scope encompasses the assessment and management of both routine and high-acuity pediatric presentations, including procedures such as lumbar puncture, POCUS, moderate sedation, and complex trauma management. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Tranter has served as a faculty member and instructor at The Ohio State University College of Nursing teaching and precepting both undergraduate and graduate nursing students. This background in clinical education directly supports her ability to clearly articulate standards of care, clinical decision-making, and deviations from accepted practice to attorneys, judges, and juries. Dr. Tranter provides objective, evidence-based expert opinions for both plaintiff and defense counsel. Her areas of expertise include pediatric emergency medicine standards of care, advanced practice provider scope of practice, pediatric nursing standards, clinical documentation review, medical record analysis, and APP credentialing and privileging.
