Michael Cody is a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator (CFMHE) credentialed by the National Board of Forensic Evaluators (NBFE), a nationally recognized organization endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association and approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors as a continuing education provider. This certification reflects rigorous standards, including verified licensure to diagnose and treat mental disorders, demonstrated clinical competency, and adherence to high ethical standards. As part of the certification process, he has completed specialized training in forensic mental health, passed a comprehensive written examination, and demonstrated proficiency in producing standardized, defensible forensic evaluation reports. He has also successfully presented and defended his forensic work before a panel of experienced evaluators. He holds a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. Since 2021, he has maintained a private practice providing mental health treatment across a broad spectrum of conditions, including anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship and marital conflict, substance use disorders, parenting challenges, autism spectrum disorders, and severe mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. His combined clinical and forensic experience enables him to deliver objective, evidence-based evaluations and clear, well-supported expert opinions in legal matters.
