Robin C. Nagele, M.A., is the Principal and Founder of Nagele Security Advisors, LLC, a U.S. Small Business Administration-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), specializing in forensic security consulting and expert witness testimony in civil litigation matters involving premises liability, negligent security, and physical security standard of care. A retired U.S. Army Military Police Corps Sergeant Major (E-9) and Bronze Star Medal recipient, Mr. Nagele attained the Army's highest enlisted rank in an unprecedented 18 years, a distinction achieved by fewer than 1% of all enlisted soldiers, before completing 21 years of honorable service. He served as NCOIC of Nuclear Physical Security Operations, holding formal Army certification in Intrusion Detection System Operations (172 hours) including Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta alert classifications. He is also a certified U.S. Army Drill Sergeant and Combat Veteran, having served in Iraq and Bosnia. Mr. Nagele's civilian career includes 19 years of security and leadership experience, including serving as Corporate Physical Security Manager at Starbucks Coffee Company Headquarters, responsible for more than 10,000 employees and over 60 critical facilities worldwide, and managing large-scale maritime and guard force operations across residential and commercial properties. As a member of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC), Mr. Nagele applies the IAPSC Forensic Methodology — a consensus-based, peer-reviewed framework reviewed and accepted by multiple Federal District Courts throughout the United States — to every forensic engagement. His opinions are grounded solely in the evidence and the established Standard of Care, ensuring testimony remains credible, unbiased, and defensible under the most rigorous cross-examination. He is available for retention by both plaintiff and defense counsel. Forensic Methodology — Five Phases: Phase 1: Evidence Review and Synchronization — Systematic analysis of all discovery materials, incident reports, CCTV, post orders, crime history data, policies and procedures, and site-specific documentation. Phase 2: Security Risk Assessment — Qualitative, quantitative, or hybrid assessment identifying relevant risks to determine the likelihood that a vulnerability could be successfully exploited. Phase 3: Threat Assessment — Evaluation of actual and inherent threats, including site and vicinity crime history, calls for service, and offense reports. Phase 4: Vulnerability Assessment and Security Survey — Physical site inspection and analysis of security weaknesses including building design, lighting, lines of sight, and guard force performance. Phase 5: Analysis and Opinions — Determination of the adequacy of security at the location on the date of the incident, culminating in a comprehensive evidence-based written report to a reasonable degree of professional security certainty.
