Dan Mee is President of Dillon Capital Advisors, a private consulting, investment and advisory firm. Here he is active advising companies on strategic planning, capital allocation and capital raises. Dillon has provided clear strategic advice on conventional debt and equity raises. Current and recent assignments include expert witness testimony, loan sale advisory, deploying blockchain technology to effect the tokenization of real assets in addition to financing opportunities in cannabis related businesses. Mr. Mee is an active expert witness providing testimony on real estate interest rates, loan sales, partnership structures and other real estate and capital markets related topics. Mr. Mee has extensive experience in litigation from his years in real estate and loan workout. Mr. Mee is a Board Director and Trustee at Cambridge Financial Group (CFG). A bank holding company with about $6.5 billion in assets. CFG major subsidiaries include a 190+ year old mutual commercial bank and a five year old 100% digital bank. Mr. Mee serves on the Corporate Strategy and Risk Committees. Previously, Mr. Mee was Co-President and COO at a publicly traded commercial mortgage REIT. This REIT was externally managed by The RMR Group, an alternative investment advisor and family office with over $40 billion in AUM including five publicly traded and four private companies. He also served as Senior Vice President at RMR and sat on its 20 person Senior Leadership Committee. Mr. Mee was primarily responsible for the commercial real estate debt investment portfolio. He also led risk management, managed Company operations / asset management, and sat on the Investment Committee. Mr. Mee played a central role in the REIT’s execution of a blind pool initial public offering. Mr. Mee co-founded Tremont Realty Capital (TRC). TRC was a privately held alternative investment management and advisory company. He grew TRC into an SEC Registered Investment Advisor with a peak of over 30 employees in ten offices across the US and a managed account track record in excess of $1 billion including over 2 million SF of CRE. His responsibilities included strategy development / implementation, general management, equity/debt capital raises, asset management and investor relations. Mr. Mee sold TRC to The RMR Group in 2016. Prior to forming TRC, Mr. Mee was a senior officer with several boutique financial firms in Boston and New York. He helped grow these companies by recruiting staff and sourcing investments. Earlier in his career Mr. Mee led a major assets group at the FDIC where he had responsibility for a $2 billion portfolio. Here, he worked out large complex distressed investments including many types of real estate and energy related assets. In addition, Mr.Mee was responsible for managing the asset side of failed bank balance sheets and teams of upwards of 250 employees during certain bank closings. Mr. Mee began his career at JP Morgan Chase Bank in New York City where he was credit trained and worked primarily in commercial and multi-family real estate construction finance throughout the US.
