I am a board certified neurosurgeon with over 33 years of clinical experience specializing in complex brain and spine surgery. I continue to practice actively with Neurosurgical Associates, P.C. in Richmond, VA. I received my residency training at The George Washington University Medical Ctr and Medstar Health Washington Hospital Center, a top rated Level 1 trauma center, in Washington, DC. During my residency, I also had the opportunity to train at the world renowned National Hospital for Neurology and Neuro Surgery, Queen Square, London, England. In my practice of neurosurgery, I treat patients with benign and malignant primary and metastatic tumors of the brain and spine, adult hydrocephalus, spinal and head trauma and a wide range of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine procedures. In addition to my surgical experience, I obtained MBA in Healthcare Management from Johns Hopkins University. I've served on hospital boards, chaired credential and neurosurgical committees and been an active member of our peer review and medical executive committees contributing to healthcare leadership, quality improvement and physician governance. I am an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Through my active clinical practice I have treated personal injury and IME patients as well. I have experience as a medico-legal expert but have spent the vast majority of my career in direct clinical practice.
