He brings deep expertise in human and ecological risk assessment, toxicological mechanisms, pharmacology, and drug-related signal transduction pathways. Dr. Lehmann applies his scientific expertise to complex questions involving alcohol, drugs, environmental exposures, consumer products, and medical devices. His work integrates experimental toxicology, exposure assessment, and weight-of-evidence evaluation to assess potential health effects and causation. Drawing on his extensive research background and teaching experience, he is skilled at translating complex toxicological concepts into clear, accessible explanations for attorneys, courts, and other non-scientific audiences. Experience & Expertise: -Alcohol and Drug Toxicology: Expertise in the toxicology and pharmacology of alcohol, opioids, stimulants, cannabinoids, benzodiazepines, and other psychoactive substances, including interpretation of toxicological data and blood alcohol concentration in forensic and litigation contexts. -Liquor Liability & Impairment Analysis: Scientific evaluation of alcohol-related impairment, visible intoxication, and toxicological factors relevant to dram shop and social host cases. -Toxicological Case Review: Conducts comprehensive reviews of toxicology reports, depositions, scientific literature, and laboratory data to evaluate exposure, impairment, and potential health outcomes in litigation matters. -Exposure Assessment & Dose Reconstruction: Evaluates the magnitude, timing, and routes of exposure to drugs, alcohol, and chemicals to assess toxicological significance. -Causation Analysis: Applies weight-of-evidence frameworks, including Bradford Hill considerations, to evaluate whether exposures are scientifically consistent with alleged health effects. -Scientific Data Interpretation: Experienced in interpreting toxicology testing results, including laboratory analyses used in clinical, forensic, and research settings. -Experimental Toxicology & Study Design: Extensive experience designing and interpreting in vivo and in vitro toxicology studies to evaluate biological effects and mechanisms of action. -Scientific Communication: Skilled at translating complex toxicological and pharmacological concepts into clear written reports and explanations understandable to attorneys, judges, juries, and other non-scientists.
