I am a Harvard Medical School–trained, board-certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) with extensive experience evaluating functional impairment, disability, and long-term rehabilitation needs following injury or illness. I completed my PM&R residency training at Harvard Medical School. Thus, have training experience working within major academic medical centers including Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Following residency, I completed subspecialty fellowship training in Interventional Spine, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Pain Management, and Sports Medicine at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. I have held academic appointments and leadership roles at leading medical institutions, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and NYU Langone Health. My clinical and academic work has focused on evaluating and treating patients with complex medical conditions affecting physical function, mobility, and quality of life. My areas of clinical expertise include non-surgical orthopedics, spine disorders, traumatic brain injury, chronic pain syndromes, and the functional consequences of cancer treatment. A significant portion of my work has focused on the rehabilitation and survivorship needs of patients following cancer therapy. I have extensive experience evaluating the functional effects of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, cancer surgery, and treatment-related complications such as peripheral neuropathy, lymphedema, fatigue syndromes, and chronic pain. This expertise allows me to assess how complex medical conditions affect functional capacity, work ability, and long-term independence. In my medical legal practice, I provide objective, evidence-based analysis to assist attorneys and courts in understanding the medical issues central to a case. My services include independent medical examinations (IMEs), life care planning, disability evaluations, medical record review, and causation analysis in complex injury and medical cases. I am experienced in evaluating functional limitations, work capacity, and future medical needs (damages) in matters involving orthopedic injuries, neurologic disorders (TBI, SCI, etc), chronic pain, cancer, catastrophic injury, and medically complex conditions. I am a certified Life Care Planner (CLCP) through The International Commission on Health Care Certification, a credential that took considerable effort to achieve. I have experience providing sworn testimony in depositions and have testified in court proceedings, including in Supreme Court matters. My approach emphasizes careful preparation, objective analysis, and the ability to clearly explain complex medical concepts in a manner that is understandable to attorneys, judges, and juries. In addition to my clinical and consulting work, I have served on national committees including the Executive Board of the Moving Through Cancer initiative of the American College of Sports Medicine. This international initiative focuses on integrating exercise and rehabilitation into cancer care and survivorship and advancing evidence-based strategies to improve functional outcomes for patients living with and beyond cancer. My combined experience in all aspects of rehabilitation medicine, functional impairment evaluation, and my unique expertise in oncological rehabilitation provides a a particularly insightful perspective when assessing disability, causation, and future medical needs in medically complex cases. I'm experienced working with defense attorneys on future care assessment disputes, causation analysis, accuracy of damage assessment, and life care plan rebuttals. Finally, I also consult on complex healthcare fraud and RICO litigation involving no-fault insurance claims. In these matters, I analyze medical records, treatment patterns, and billing practices to assess medical necessity, causation, and whether services are consistent with accepted standards of medical care
