Guerra is a crane operations, construction safety, and heavy equipment specialist with more than 35 years of experience in crane operation, lift planning, rigging, heavy equipment transportation, accident investigation, and construction site safety. Mr. Guerra has participated in, supervised, evaluated, and analyzed thousands of lifting operations involving mobile cranes, crawler cranes, rough terrain cranes, all-terrain cranes, tower cranes, forklifts, concrete pumps, and other heavy construction equipment. His experience includes crane assembly and disassembly, critical lifts, operator qualification, ground bearing assessments, equipment mobilization, heavy haul transportation, signal person responsibilities, lift director duties, and jobsite safety management. Drawing upon more than three decades of field experience, Mr. Guerra provides independent expert opinions regarding crane operations, lifting practices, construction safety, accident causation, and standard-of-care issues. He has been retained by counsel to evaluate crane-related incidents and provide expert analysis concerning industry practices, operational decision-making, and foreseeable hazards. As an expert witness and consultant, Mr. Guerra evaluates crane accidents, tip-overs, collapses, rigging failures, struck-by incidents, load handling events, workplace injuries, equipment damage claims, OSHA compliance issues, construction safety practices, and industry standard-of-care questions. His analyses focus on determining how an incident occurred, whether accepted industry practices were followed, and what factors contributed to the event.
