Kelsey Ridgeway is a board-certified emergency nurse with a decade of experience in the emergency setting, including work at community hospitals, a Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, and a primary PCI/chest pain center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina-Upstate in 2016, where she received the Academic Excellence Award and won first place at the USC Upstate Research Symposium for her article on family-witnessed resuscitation. Since graduation, Kelsey has practiced in both teaching and community hospital settings. She has been board-certified in emergency nursing since 2020 and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and CPI Crisis Intervention. She also serves as a TNCC instructor, teaching both didactic content and practical skills. She is also one of the charge nurses in her emergency department unit. Kelsey is a member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (Greater Orlando Chapter), LNCExchange and Juris Educational Resource Knowledge (JERK). Kelsey is well-versed in all areas of emergency nursing, including triage, cardiac arrest, respiratory distress and arrest, sepsis, gastrointestinal emergencies, anaphylaxis, drug overdoses, acute coronary syndrome, STEMI, acute and hemorrhagic stroke, trauma, pediatrics, behavioral health, and obstetric emergencies.
