I started in the fire service in 1972 in the U.S. Air Force. Three years at Mather AFB, one year in Kunsan, Korea, three years as a civilian firefighter at McClellan AFB, and twenty years for the City of Sacramento fire department. I held the position of firefighter, fire investigator, and captain. I also filled in as an acting battalion chief for five years. Certifications: Certified Fire Investigator – International Assoc. of Arson Investigators Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator – National Assoc. of Fire Investigators Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator – National Assoc. of Fire Investigators Certified Fire Investigator – State of Calif. Fire Marhshal’s Office Certified Evidence Collection Technician – International Association of Fire Investigators NFPA 921 & 1033 compliant Initiated private investigation business in 1998. I have handled over 18883 items of evidence. I have investigated over 2500 fire incidents. I have investigated fires for Sacramento Municipal Utilities District for the past ten+ years.
