Amanda is a senior consultant at Group Nine Risk Consulting and a seasoned professional with over 16 years of career experience within corporate security, higher education and law enforcement. Amanda is board certified in Physical Security and Investigations, having earned the Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification and Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) through ASIS International. Globally recognized as the standard of excellence for case management, evidence collection and preparation of reports and testimony to substantiate findings as well as physical security assessments, designs, applications, implementations, and integrations. In addition to his security expertise, Amanda served as a law enforcement officer and still helps agencies within their training units as an advanced instructor, holding certifications in TASER, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Firearms and Defense Tactics. As active member of both ASIS and the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP), Amanda stays connected to industry trends and best practices. Her engagement in these professional networks reflects his ongoing pursuit of knowledge and collaboration with like-minded experts. She has been a speaker at both the national ASIS conference and local ASIS chapters. Transitioning to a corporate role, Amanda joined a Fortune 500 company as an Insider Threat Manager where she’s leveraged her law enforcement background in particularly her anti-corruption work at the Fulton County District Attorney's Office and dynamic skill set to the corporate environment for the past four years. Now joining the second largest employer in the Southeast working with a private education institution and the healthcare systems she conducts threat assessments and vulnerability assessments, identifying opportunities to improve the company’s physical, cyber infrastructure and operational procedures. Amanda has a pivotal role in identifying and analyzing concerning behaviors, applying her training to proactively mitigate potential risks. As a workplace violence prevention educator, she gives employees the knowledge and tools to recognize, report, and address potential threats in the workplace and insider threats.
