Bill Hamann, J.D., D.Min practiced law in Cleveland for 18 years before going into the Ohio prison system for 12 years. During his time inside five Ohio prisons, Bill worked closely with Deputy Wardens, Major, Captains, Lieutenants, Correctional Officers, Institutional Inspector, Chaplains and other prison staff. Bill became very familiar with all aspects of prison operations, rules. administrative regulations and disciplinary procedures for inmates and staff. During two years as a library law clerk, Bill drafted inmate grievances, appeals from Rules Infraction Board decisions, Motions for new trials, appeals, and scores of Habeas Corpus petitions, two of which were successful and resulted in release.
