Dr. Zolnoun is a distinguished expert in sensory neurophysiology within the urogenital region, renowned nationally for her groundbreaking contributions. She is a doctor with a Master of Public Health degree, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her professional experience includes roles as a locum tenens provider in Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery and MIGS, clinical staff, founder and CEO of ZenNovid Foundation, Chronic Interventional Pain Specialist, and Clinical Liaison. She has held academic positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, including Adjunct Associate Professor, Associate Professor, Medical Director of the Pelvic Pain Research Unit, and Assistant Professor. She currently serves as adjunct faculty in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and UNC’s Center for Pain Research and Innovation. Recognized for her leadership in women’s health research, she was awarded "The Medtronic Prize for Scientific Contributions to Women's Health" by S.W.H.R. in 2011. As a founding member and medical director of UNC’s Urogenital Pain and Peripheral Nerve Clinic, she pioneered nerve-sparing surgical techniques and peripheral neuromodulation.
