Tavish Spargo is a board‑certified physician associate who has practiced plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford Health Care since 2019. After earning his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Southern California, he moved to the Bay Area and joined Stanford’s plastic surgery program. During his training he completed an intensive senior clerkship in trauma plastic surgery and worked for a prominent trauma/plastic surgery group in Pasadena. In his current role he supports several plastic surgeons and manages outpatient care for cosmetic and reconstructive patients. Tavish’s clinical focus includes breast reconstruction, body contouring, facial trauma/reconstruction, abdominal wall reconstruction, soft tissue reconstruction, free flap reconstruction, lymphedema, complex wound care and cosmetic surgery. He is the lead clinician for Stanford’s Scar Clinic and organizes/operates Reconstruction Clinic Teaching Rounds, creating protocols and lectures for multidisciplinary teams. He also serves per diem in Stanford’s Pre‑Anesthesia Department, conducting preoperative assessments and patient education. His early career as an EMT and wound‑care educator provided a strong foundation in trauma and perioperative management. An engaged researcher and educator, Tavish has co‑authored peer‑reviewed papers on telemedicine in plastic surgery and patient perceptions of surgeon attire and has presented at national conferences on scar management, telehealth and reconstructive surgery. He is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Associates, the California Academy of Physician Associates, the Association of Plastic Surgery PAs and The Academy of Physician Associates in Legal Medicine.
