Dr. Ross Albert has thirteen years of experience as a Hospice Medical Director, currently the National Medical Director of a multi-state hospice agency, with the prior 6 years as the System Hospice and Palliative Care Medical Director of a statewide home hospice and palliative care team. He has four years of experience as the Chief of Palliative Medicine at a large tertiary care hospital, managing inpatient consultations, goals of care discussions and complex symptom management. He is board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Family Practice, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and of the American Academy of Family Practice. He is nationally recognized for excellence in end-of-life care, awarded the Hastings Foundation Cuniff-Dixon Award in 2016. Dr. Albert has practiced hospice and palliative care extensively in the inpatient and community settings. He has expertise in hospice utilization, compliance and audit reviews, end-of-life prognostication, routine and general inpatient (GIP) levels of hospice care, complex pain and symptom management, advance care planning and goals of care communication, hospice documentation and interdisciplinary team-based hospice care.
