Additional Information

I am a Rheumatologist and internist who is also an expert in integrative medicine and licensed to perform acupuncture. With regards to medicolegal work, as of February 2025, I have mainly performed independent medical evaluations (IME). I am able and willing to perform expert witness work in the areas of rheumatology, integrative medicine, acupuncture, and internal medicine. I will take a careful approach to your medical case review. As an expert in integrative medicine, I can go beyond just assessing whether standard of care was met, particularly for cases and medical conditions for which guidelines may be lacking. I will provide unbiased reviews for both plaintiff and defense cases. In my own clinic at East-West Rheumatology, I frequently see patients who are dealing with chronic multi-organ illness that is not improving with standard of care therapies. Patients previously seen by multiple rheumatologists (including at quaternary care treatment centers such as Johns Hopkins Hospital and George Washington University) have sought out my expertise. With a multi-pronged treatment plan including herbal medicine, pharmaceuticals, acupuncture, and lifestyle change, many of my patients have seen a great benefit in their quality of life. While I see patients across a broad spectrum of disease which includes non-rheumatologic conditions such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and irritable bowel syndrome, I have niche expertise in seeing patients with hypermobility syndrome, chronic pain syndromes that are not yielding to conventional treatment modalities.
