Dr. Gerard Hoatam is a distinguished, board-certified anesthesiologist. Head of medical education for medical students at Regional Medical Center in San Jose, Ca. He is licensed and has practiced in California, Colorado and Arizona. His expertise extends broadly and includes the intricacies of general anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care, propofol sedation, total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA), ultrasound guided techniques including nerve blocks and line placement and much more. He has extensive experience risk stratifying and evaluating patients pre operatively, managing intra operatively and responding to emergencies during all aspects of the perioperative period. Dr. Hoatam is also an expert in Obstetric Anesthesia procedures and clinical decision making.
