Dr. Vova is board certified in Pediatrics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine, and Brain Injury Medicine. Dr. Vova earned his medical doctorate at the University of South Florida and completed his Pediatric Residency at Jacobi Medical Center in Bronx, NY. He then did a second residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now the Shirly Ryan Ability Lab) and an additional fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Colorado Children’s Hospital. Dr. Vova has served as both the residency director for the core Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program and the Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship Director at Emory University. Dr. Vova has spoken locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally on a variety of topics in pediatric rehabilitation medicine including cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, brain injury, concussion, and neuropharmacology, and spasticity. He is also a co-founder for the Georgia Alliance for Cerebral Palsy. Dr. Vova is a member of multiple professional organizations. Dr. Vova has co-authored multiple articles and book chapters in the field of pediatric rehabilitation medicine. He also serves as an editor for multiple academic journals.
