Dr. Stephenson is an Associate Professor of Clinical Practice in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado with extensive experience in rehabilitation medicine. He has held multiple leadership roles, including Medical Director of Orthobiologics, Brain Injury, the Regional Amputation Center, and the Inpatient Rehabilitation Consultation Service. Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Brain Injury Medicine, Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Pain Medicine, Dr. Stephenson also holds certification as a Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP), assisting in the assessment of long-term needs for individuals with disabilities. He has provided medico-legal expert opinions in cases involving upper and lower extremity amputation, nerve injury, spinal cord injury, brain trauma, pressure ulcers/injuries, work capacity, and musculoskeletal conditions. Clinically, Dr. Stephenson treats patients with a broad range of disabilities, pain syndromes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. He is also a dedicated educator, recognized for his contributions to the PM&R Residency Program, where he regularly teaches residents, fellows, and medical students.
