With 42+ years in nursing, my career centers on perioperative services. I've excelled in roles including scrub, circulating nurse, charge nurse, coordinator, and also as an informaticist. My OR expertise spans Cardiac Surgery, Orthopedics, Plastic, and Trauma procedures. Over the last ten years, I've passionately delivered hands-on training and evidence-based perioperative instruction using the AORN Periop 101 Program to both experienced and new graduate nurses. Guiding individuals in acquiring new skills and empowering them to perform confidently brings me great satisfaction. My commitment to education has equipped numerous nursing professionals with essential knowledge and skills to provide safe patient care. In my 5-year role as a Quality Improvement Coordinator, I conducted retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records, resolving documentation discrepancies for the cardiovascular lab.
