2Additional Information
With over 12-years in the snow and ice management industry, I've worked in a variety of capacities in both public and private organizations. In most recent years, I'm actively involved in fleet management, safety management, and snow and ice management. While working in snow and ice management operations, I have thorough experience developing site safety requirements, contract development, risk profiling and mitigation strategies, personnel and operations training, emergency operations communications, and root-cause analyses. Additional expertise includes the advising and consulting of site-specific safety planning and working on channels of communication between all parties to ensure the greatest level of service, and accountability. Part of what I feel I'm an expert in is determining slip and fall injuries or contractual performance issues in the snow and ice management industry as well as the relationship between property management and premises liability. I'm highly involved with the Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA) working on multiple stakeholder projects, presenting learning sessions to the members at annual conferences, volunteering for the magazine editorial committee, and being a regular contributing author for the magazine Snow Business. I've achieved certification through this association of Certified Snow Professional (CSP) and Advanced Snow Manager (ASM). I'm also a current member of the Accredited Snow Contractors Association and currently hold my ASCA-C certification for industry expertise as well. I've obtained certificates in many disciplines within the snow and ice management industry such as the fundamental and necessary use of granular ice melt materials and liquid anti-ice and deicing materials. I understand litigation processes, insurance practices, liability coverage, and have worked in different cases for industry-related incidents. Aside from snow and ice management expertise, I'm also a Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) and have extensive knowledge on managing fleets, training all classes of drivers and operators, training on vehicle and equipment safety, designing specifications, and completing the procurement and disposal processes. Part of this experience has given me the tools to properly conduct incident investigations, accident investigations, and ensuring fleets are compliant with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and the Department of Transportation (DOT). Aside from my snow-specific experience, I've obtained the Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, and I'm currently working on the Master of Arts in Communication with a focus on organizational leadership, communication, and crisis communication. Other education I have earned includes an Associate of Specialized Technology in Service Management and Automotive Technology from Wyoming Technical Insitute, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. I've also obtained the Lean Process Improvement Black Belt certificate from the Denver Peak Academy which gave me the opportunity to grow my knowledge and skills in developing effective, efficient, and strategic processes. I feel with my experience, education, and industry knowledge, I serve as a strong and beneficial expert witness to legal firms.
