Additional Information

I am Harvard- and Yale-educated general surgeon with nine years of attending experience in general surgery, trauma/acute care surgery, and surgical oncology. After completing my residency at Stanford in 2014, I worked at Stanford's affiliate public hospital--a level 1 trauma center--for seven years as a staff surgeon and Stanford Assistant Professor of Surgery (Affiliated). I spearheaded the development of the hospital's surgical oncology program, treating the full spectrum of colorectal, pancreas, liver, and stomach cancers. For my contributions to resident education, I was awarded Stanford's annual teaching award three times (2017, 2020, 2021), and I took on multiple leadership roles in surgical quality improvement and education. As an expert in minimally invasive surgery and particularly surgical robotics, I have been selected as a proctor for Intuitive Surgical to help train the next generation of robotic general surgeons. In my current clinical position in the University of Vermont Health Network, I continue to serve the community as a trauma and general surgery practitioner at a busy regional center.
