Additional Information

Comprehensive Cataract and Refractive Surgeon, with 22+ years of clinical/surgical experience. I established a regional consultative ophthalmology practice, specializing in vision correction surgery. With over 20,000 restorative ocular surgeries performed, I have developed a reputation for excellent surgical outcomes and patient rapport. Patient education is integral to my success as a surgeon, often having to explain complex medical conditions to anxious and apprehensive patients. My excellent communication skills allow me to effectively educate those without extensive medical knowledge. I graduated manga cum laude from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed residency training at Wills Eye Hospital (Top 3 Residency Program for past 30 years). I then completed a one-year Fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of Utah's John A. Moran Eye Center. I then helped establish Clarus Eye Centre and AuroraLASIK, where I have practiced continuously since. To complement my clinical practice, I have been principal investigator in multiple FDA studies, demonstrating precision and close attention to detail. I am board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO - MOC) and a Charter Fellow of the World College of Refractive Surgery and Visual Sciences (newly established board of refractive surgery). I remain committed to continuing my education, recently completing a Physician CEO Program at Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University). I remain actively involved in his community, having served on many non-profit boards. Concerned about the difficulties our healthcare system is facing, I recently joined the board of Northwest Momentum Health Partners (NWMHP), an Accountable Care Organization in Thurston County Washington.
