Mayo Clinic educated and trained, Julie Rogers is a board certified anesthesiologist practicing at a community hospital. She is an expert in obstetric, ENT, pediatric, ambulatory, orthopedic, cardiothoracic, plastic, neurosurgical, vascular, regional and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) anesthesia. Her current anesthesia practice is diverse, including all of these disciplines. She also teaches airway management to medical residents. Her background includes a PhD in science/pharmacology and a MA in ethics. Her PhD work involved studying the mechanisms of drug molecules, which is integral to understanding anesthesiology. Her ethics specialties include informed consent, capacity determination and patient advocacy. She has published several peer reviewed papers as well as developed and taught courses in these areas.
