Dr. Chad R. Greene is a board-certified, Vanderbilt-trained Anesthesiologist with academic, private practice and military medical experience. He is nationally-known and a well-respected leader in his field, having served on the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Board of Directors and as National President of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) – RC. Dr. Greene is in full-time clinical practice and serves as an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at a large tertiary medical center as well as at multiple outpatient ambulatory surgery centers providing anesthesia care to pediatric, adult, and elderly patients across the full scope of anesthesia practice. His specialty areas of focus include difficult airway management, regional anesthesiology, outpatient ambulatory surgery, orthopedic anesthesia & total joint replacement, neurosurgical anesthesia & spine surgery, pediatric anesthesia, trauma anesthesia, obstetrical anesthesia, ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, oral & dental surgery, and out-of-operating room anesthesia (Radiology/MRI/CT/Gastroenterology/Cath Lab). Dr. Greene is a recognized physician leader both nationally and worldwide. He has served as a Policy Research Fellow at the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Washington, D.C. office where he worked closely with the United States Senate and key members of Congress in creating solutions that directly affect perioperative surgical care and the practice of medicine in our healthcare system. Dr. Greene has received numerous distinguished service awards in anesthesia patient safety and global health and has spent a great deal of time practicing and teaching in Sub-Saharan Africa and Central America. He is a United States Naval Officer, an author, and contributor to multiple textbooks and medical journals. Dr. Greene also enjoys teaching residents and medical students and has started a medical mentorship program for students in rural areas who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine. In addition to his clinical and leadership experience, Dr. Greene has an extensive consulting and speaking portfolio. He is considered an expert on a wide range of anesthesia-related topics given his background. His speaking and teaching experience make him extremely effective at deposition and trial testimony– presenting complex concepts to lay audiences in a way they can appreciate.
