I am Marisa Loza, founder of Loza Legal Consulting, specializing in legal nurse consulting focusing in inpatient obstetrics. I have been a nurse for 14 years including 10 years as a Labor and Delivery nurse working in a high risk inpatient setting. I have AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification and Membership. I currently hold a certification in Inpatient Obstetrics through the National Certification Corporation. I review medical records, as well as develop reports and summaries of medical care in my field of expertise. I have charge nurse experience including team leading, delegating tasks, communicating with physicians and ancillary departments, and coordinating care. I manage antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients including high risk and obstetric emergencies. I also manage preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patients for obstetric related surgical procedures. I am skilled in high risk medication administration and monitoring. I am qualified to act as an expert witness and provide testimony for inpatient obstetric cases.
