He is an expert in corneal wound healing disorders, corneal surgery and transplantation. He is an internationally recognized leader and instructor in the management of complex corneal diseases with more than 150 papers and book chapters published. He is also editor-in-chief of the most respected journal related in ocular surface disease. He has interacted with the FDA on clinical studies and has run international clinical trials for treatment of ophthalmologic diseases. He understands the complexity of intellectual property, device, and medication litigation as well as MDL and class action cases. He has been involved in personal injury, medical malpractice, etc. cases on both plaintiff and defense sides. He performs independent medical examination upon request.
