Dr. Alonso J. Osorio-Giraldo, M.D. was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia. A Foreign Medical Graduate who has been in medical practice now for 21+ successful years. He is a graduate of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, Colombia, in December 2001, and immigrated to the USA more than 24 years ago with the dream of becoming a physician trained in North America. Initially, he trained at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Family Medicine from 2003 to 2006, was in private practice for 2 years, and went back for a second residency training in Emergency Medicine from 2008 to 2011 at the University of South Florida / Tampa General Hospital. He currently holds the credentials of Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM), and Board Certification in Family Medicine (ABFM), and is proudly a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, The American Academy of Family Physicians, and The American Academy of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Osorio has held leadership positions, having been the assistant medical director in one of the USA's largest Emergency Care Hubs, in Tampa, FL. He has vast experience seeing more than 3000 patients per year for the last 20 years of practice. Remarkably comfortable Caring for Stroke, MI, Necrotizing Fasciitis, Back pain, Spinal Epidural Abscesses, MVC/MVA, Gynecologic, and obstetric emergencies, along with Pediatrics and all sorts of medical and surgical cases, and complications and experienced in the critical care management and resuscitation of high acuity medical emergencies. He currently resides in Tyler Texas and practices 100% clinical Emergency Medicine in large local community hospitals. Holds licenses in TX / FL and CA. Also has a special passion for quality medical documentation and medical scribing, and mostly a deep understanding of the hard work required to immigrate to the United States and navigate Graduate Medical Education (GME) as a Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG). Finally, his outstanding reputation with a Clean Medical License and no litigation or malpractice cases against him.
