Early in his career, he practiced Internal Medicine when he decided to pursue a deepening interest in Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry. Internal Medicine continues to play a part in treating psychiatric conditions. He has a clinical psychiatric practice in Austin, Texas.
