Double-boarded in Clinical Neuropsychology and Pediatric Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. I am also a certified as a Brain Injury Specialist through the Brain Injury Association of America. I have been employed by Nicklaus Children's Hospital for the past 14 years, where I work very closely with neurology and neurosurgical colleagues. Formerly known as "Miami Children's Hospital", we are the largest dedicated pediatric hospital in the state. While clinical cases may range from frank acquired brain injury to more subtle gestational or birth injuries, almost all of my referrals have a very complex medical and psychiatric presentations, typically with multiple underlying etiologies. My training and prior healthcare experience spans from infancy to geriatrics, but my true expertise and passion is helping children and families from infancy through young adulthood. My expert witness practice is dedicated to medico-legal services for both plaintiff and defense attorneys, including Independent Neuropsychological Evaluations, record reviews, and consultation services. I am an assistant professor at the FIU Wertheim School of Medicine, current president of the Neuropsychology Division of the Florida Psychological Association, and former Chief of Neuropsychological Services at Miami Children's Hospital.
