Dr. Franc is a practicing neurologist with clinical experience and knowledge in traumatic brain injury and the use of advanced imaging to guide the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. He has an active clinical program in treating patients and leads a team of neurologists and mental health providers in managing the constellation of symptoms seen in individuals with TBI, including headache, mood disorders, cognitive impairment, dizziness, chronic pain, and sleep disorders. He has been retained by plaintiff and defense attorneys to clarify the complexities of brain injury and is able to testify plainly about technical matters related to the diagnosis and treatment of such injuries. He is able to interrelate the neurological factors underlying brain injury, psychological conditions that complicate recovery from TBI, and neuroimaging findings to result in a complete medicolegal opinion. Dr. Franc's doctoral research work focused DTI and functional MRI, and he has an active research and clinical program in advanced MRI using fMRI, DTII, and other techniques. He is unique in being able to understand functional MRI from both a deep technical and clinical perspective. Dr. Franc has experience with other neurological conditions including stroke, peripheral nerve injury, CRPS, and thoracic outlet syndrome.
