Dr. Natalie Jones is currently licensed as an LPCC in California and has worked for a number of years in the mental health and criminal justice field. Dr. Jones is passionate about and has expertise in adult forensic interviewing (including those who have cognitive or intellectual disabilities such as cerebral palsy), psychological abuse of women (specifically with African American women), and correctional mental health. Dr. Jones spent several years working in correctional mental health and has also worked with the Department of Probation and Pretrial as a contractor. Dr. Jones has worked extensively with attorneys during her time as a contractor. Dr. Jones completed her post-doctoral training with the California Department of Corrections. Prior to this, Dr. Jones also trained at John George Psychiatric Pavilion Inpatient mental health unit, Fairmont hospital Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility, The Hume Center's partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient unit. Dr. Jones has also worked for Marin County completing 5150 evaluations and reports. Dr. Jones has a published dissertation titled "The Experiences of African American Women Who Were Psychologically Abused by Their Parents While Growing Up" Currently, Dr. Jones works in private practice and as a consultant.
