Experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with hands-on expertise in providing direct care to neonates. 18+ years experience in Neonatal Care(12 years RN, 6 years NNP). Extensive knowledge and understanding of neonatal pathophysiology, terminology, medical treatment options, alternatives, risks and benefits. Experience caring for premature and critically ill newborn babies in the NICU. Broad range of conditions managed and treated include but not limited to: prematurity, IUGR, low birth weight, multiple gestation, hypoglycemia, respiratory failure, congenital heart disease, congenital anomalies, pulmonary hypertension, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, seizures, sepsis, gastrointestinal disorders, genetic disorders and neurological conditions. Specializes in resuscitation and stabilization of infants at birth and post resuscitation care.
