Dr. Graff is board certified in both anesthesiology & pain medicine. She is currently an assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology & critical care and the division chief of regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine at the Ivy League institution, the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She is also the fellowship program director for regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine. She supervises and teaches fellow physicians, resident physicians, medical students, and nurse anesthetists on a daily basis. Dr. Graff currently serves as the perioperative pain management lead for the University of Pennsylvania Health System's Opioid Task Force, for all six hospitals under the health system. This task force focuses on reducing opioid-related harm for Penn Medicine's patients, promoting evidence-based opioid prescribing habits, and overseeing quality and safety metrics with opioid prescribing in the perioperative and inpatient sectors. Dr. Graff also holds a faculty position within the American Society of Regional Anesthesia & Pain Medicine. Dr. Graff has substantial experience in public speaking and has been invited to lecture regionally, nationally, and internationally on topics surrounding her research niche of music medicine in the perioperative space and pain medicine. She has also been extensively interviewed by regional, national, and international news outlets. Dr. Graff actively practices general anesthesiology and regional anesthesiology as well as acute, acute on chronic, subacute, and chronic pain management in the perioperative, inpatient, and outpatient settings. Her anesthesia clinical expertise spans a broad range including general anesthesia, conscious sedation, airway emergencies, multimodal analgesia use, perioperative and inpatient opioid management, spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, peripheral nerve blocks, nerve block catheters, regional anesthetics, and anesthetics for a multitude of surgeries including orthopedics, spine, robotic surgery, urology, neurosurgery, trauma, ophthalmology, ENT, general surgery, and colorectal surgery. Her pain medicine clinical expertise spans a broad range of managements for various chronic pain conditions including chronic pain syndromes, complex regional pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain, musculoskeletal pain, spine related pain, opioid management, non-opioid therapies, and various interventional pain management procedures utilizing fluoroscopy and ultrasound guidance such as epidural steroid injections, trigger point injections, radiofrequency ablations, medial branch blocks, and joint injections.
