I have testified successfully at trial numerous times. The majority of my career has been in academic medicine, where I not only had a busy surgical practice in orthopaedic trauma, but spent a great deal of time teaching surgeons, residents, students, nurses and the public. I have served as Chairman of Orthopaedics for Indiana University, President of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and a Director of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. I consider my expert witness role as an extension of my teaching career, and take an educational approach to testimony - I attempt to make complex medical topics understandable to a mostly non-medical audience.
