Dr. Andrew J. Davidoff is a Ph.D. geologist and practicing geophysicist with over 20 years domestic U.S. and international experience. He has worked in a diversity of environments from the tropics of SE Asia to the deserts of North Africa. Offshore experience extends from shallow water marshes to the deep-water Gulf of Mexico. Dr. Davidoff’s technical expertise includes the analysis and interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic, or sound waves, that travel through the earth and are used to image the structure, stratigraphy and fluid content of the subsurface. His vast areas of expertise include integration of geologic, geophysical and reservoir engineering data for the exploration and development of oil and gas fields. Dr. Davidoff has a Doctorate in Geology from Texas A&M University, a Master’s in Geology from the University of Houston and a Bachelor’s in Geology from Western Washington University. His impressive accomplishments include being the recipient of numerous research grants, scholarships and fellowships from 11 different organizations. He also received the A.I. Levorsen award for best paper from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and best paper award from the Gulf Coast Association of Geologic Societies. He is well-published in peer-reviewed journals, has served as a lecturer at various institutions of higher learning and is recognized as a leader in the fields of geology and geophysics.
