Jeffrey S. Kane is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist (Ph.D., The University of Michigan; M.A. in Industrial Relations, University of Minnesota) with extensive education and experience in the application of statistical and quantitative methods, data analytic computer programming, and all aspects of human resource management and industrial/organizational psychology. Litigation Support: Since 1974, Dr. Kane has been providing litigation support/expert witness services to attorneys for both plaintiffs and defendants. He has served as an expert witness in legal cases in which he was called upon to provide statistical analysis and expert testimony related to: ● Employment Discrimination (selection, promotion, pay, discipline) ● Wrongful Termination ● Staffing Issues (including alleged overbilling of government agencies) ● Violations of Federal regulations (e.g., for performance appraisal and management systems) ● Wage & Hour Law (e.g., analysis of timeclock records for break and overtime violations; extensively experienced in analyses for compliance with California Wage & Hour law and regulations) ● Compensation - Pay Systems In 100% of the cases in which Dr. Kane has served as an expert witness, his client has prevailed in the resolution of the case. Dr. Kane's range of expertise is extensive, having conducted the design and/or statistical analysis for hundreds of research studies worldwide in fields ranging from psychology, human resource management, medical science, biology, engineering, operations research, linguistics, archaeology, finance, and economics. Many of these studies have been published in major journals or as book chapters, accepted as dissertations, or implemented to improve the operations of businesses. He has also furnished industrial/organizational psychology consulting services to numerous public and private sector organizations in the areas of performance appraisal & management, employment selection, compensation, HR software systems, and employee surveys.
