Fellowship trained and Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, fellow of AAOS and ACS, nearly 20 years of practice as a community general Orthopedic Surgeon with an emphasis in arthroscopic surgery, author of over 15 peer reviewed journal articles. He treats all aspects of Orthopedics for one stop shopping for patient care. Nearly 20 years experience with legal consulting including product liability, personal injury, and malpractice claims. Our office is able to have documents reviewed on a rush basis to meet any deadline, and typically reports are written within 24 hours of an IME. We take both defense and plaintiff cases. Dr. Benjamin Busfield specializes in arthroscopy, care of athletes, and sports-related injuries. His interests include injuries to the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. He also treats most pathology in the field and non-operative care for spinal pain. He completed an additional year of Fellowship training for Sports Medicine and arthroscopy at the prestigious Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, the birthplace of the Tommy John elbow surgery. As a general orthopedist, he is able to offer the entire spectrum of care and has a special focus on minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Busfield has extensive training in joint replacement and fracture care as well. He performs joint replacement, as well as revision arthroscopic surgeries. Throughout his training, he has had a special interest in caring for the injured athlete. During his Fellowship, Dr. Busfield assisted in the orthopedic care of Los Angeles professional sports teams including the Dodgers, Lakers, Ducks, Sparks and Kings.
