Additional Information
Dr. Chidekel is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology. She has been certified by the American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology since 2001. She is also a fellow of the American College of Professional Neuropsychology. She has been certified by the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology since 2006. Dr. Chidekel earned her Certification of Professional Qualification in Psychology (CPQ) from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) in 2019. This provides her with greater mobility to practice across the United States and Canada. It also provides a streamlined path to licensure when the scope of work, or the rules of a State or Territory in which she is retained require her to be licensed there. She currently maintains licenses to practice in California, Oklahoma, and Connecticut, and she has been retained in forensic matters in Utah and Kansas as well. Dr. Chidekel dedicated her early career to the practice of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. She currently maintains a private clinical practice of neuropsychological testing of children and adults. She is known for her ability to present complex ideas in simple terms, so they are accessible and interesting (really, fascinating) to everyone. Findings of an evaluation come to life as part of the larger story of the examinee's life and circumstances. Dr. Chidekel dedicates a part of her practice to forensic matters, serving as a consultant and expert witness in personal injury, elder law, probate litigation (including post-death determination of capacity and/or influence), employment, business, class action, disability determination, special education, and (limited) family and criminal law matters. She is retained by plaintiff and defense in approximate equal proportions. She loves the good fight, which is whatever fight is on behalf of the truth, and she enjoys collaborating with attorneys who are similarly-minded.
