Angela Fusaro is an emergency medicine physician who is passionate about healthcare innovation. She is currently designing tools for remote diagnostics, so that high quality urgent and emergent care can be conveniently practiced in your living room. Successful entrepreneur interested in collaborating with other physicians to help translate their clinical insight into marketable products that can save, and improve the quality of, patients' lives. Dr. Fusaro attended Medical School at New York Medical College. Dr. Fusaro has always shown a knack for leadership, and served as her Medical School President. She graduated AOA and received several awards for her academic prowess, service and leadership. Dr. Fusaro attended Emergency Medicine Residency at Carolinas Medical Center. During residency she became involved in national leadership - becoming a member of the board of directors for the Emergency Medicine Residents' Association (EMRA). EMRA is the 2nd largest Emergency Medicine organization in the world. During that time, Angela wrote legislation addressing violence in the Emergency Department. She also served on the EMRA Legacy Initiative and its resultant documentary 24/7/365: The Evolution of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Fusaro worked as an Emergency Medicine physician at Emory University and Grady Healthcare System, where she become expert in managing a variety of acute pathology, pediatrics and trauma. She is also a recent graduate of Goizueta Business school and understands the business side of healthcare. She built a software platform to estimate patient risk for opioid abuse and overdose. Angela is also co-founder of Insight to Innovation (i2i), a national workshop that helps other physicians translate clinical insight into marketable products. Dr. Fusaro has participated in malpractice chart review and provided expert witness insight for a variety of cases, on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.
