Dr. Conlan has extensive experience as an expert witness since 2004. In the past, he was CEO of Florida Wound Care Doctors, Central Florida’s only medical practice concentrating exclusively on wound care. Currently Dr. Conlan is Medical Director of the Orlando Health Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Program. Dr. Conlan oversees the care of wound patients in both the inpatient as well as outpatient hospital settings. Dr. Conlan is inspired to help his patients overcome even the most severe types of wounds. He established his Central Florida practice in 1996. In 2001, he became a Certified Wound Care Specialist allowing him to practice wound care & hyperbaric medicine on a full-time basis. Since that time, Dr. Conlan has spoken at numerous wound symposiums, grand rounds, and rehabilitation facilities. During his professional career, he has provided wound care to patients in acute care, long-term acute care, skilled nursing, and hospital-based wound care centers. From 2012-2014 Dr. Conlan was President of The American Board of Wound Management. As a certified wound specialist, Dr. Conlan routinely manages patients with lower extremity wounds. Many of his patients have prior orthopedic as well as vascular procedures. He works closely with vascular surgeons and is familiar with endoscopic vascular intervention. Most importantly, Dr. Conlan's years of experience and study make him very capable in determining standards of care pertaining to the healing of lower extremity wounds.
