Certified Industrial Hygienist. Consulted on over 100 cases on behalf of defendants and plaintiffs. Evaluate occupational and environmental exposures and their potential health risks, including reviews of past exposures. This work is separate from my Northern Illinois University employment or other professional affiliations. Associate Professor at Northern Illinois University (tenured). Subject areas: industrial toxicology, occupational safety and health, industrial environmental sustainability. Member of an international committee which develops chemical workplace exposure guidelines relied on worldwide. Consultant (since 1990) to over 400 clients, providing industrial hygiene, safety, and environmental health services. Business sectors included: manufacturing, utilities, food production, petrochemical, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, plastics. Was the first industrial hygienist hired by Commonwealth Edison and built and ran their industrial hygiene program. Then became corporate head of safety and industrial hygiene for this 18,000 employee company. Authored chapters in "Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene" (3rd, 4th, 6th, and the "Air Sampling" chapter in the upcoming 7th edition). FIH is the premier Industrial Hygiene textbook and is used by over 50 universities worldwide.
