Ms. Stricchiola has been retained as a testifying or consulting expert in over 100 litigation matters in U.S. and Canadian courts, has testified at 21 depositions, testified at 7 trial and arbitration proceedings, and written over 70 expert reports and declarations on various internet-related topics pertaining to web analytics, traffic validity, online advertising, search engine optimization, social media content, digital content discoverability, and related topic areas. Cases in which she has provided expert testimony have included class action, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters, and her patent litigation testimony has included claims construction and validity, infringement, and indefiniteness analyses. Current cases include matters involving generative AI and related training data, copyright, and market substitution issues. With twenty-five years of experience in digital platforms, her expertise includes web analytics, digital marketing, search engine optimization, and related internet technologies. She is a published O’Reilly author and co-author of The Art of SEO (© 2009, 2012, 2015, 2023), a comprehensive reference guide to organic search engine optimization used in various U.S. and international university marketing and computer science degree programs including at Georgetown University, USC, UCLA, UCSD, UC Davis, the University of Wisconsin, Syracuse University, the University of Mumbai, the City University of Hong Kong, and others. She has consulted for the U.S. Government, Microsoft Corporation, Fair Isaac Corporation and other organizations, and has been a lecturer and moderator at 60+ search engine and digital marketing industry events since 2002 including Search Engine Strategies (SES), Search Marketing Expo (SMX), ad:tech, PubCon, Web 2.0 Summit, Shop.org, Stanford Publishing on the Web, and MarketLive Ecommerce Summit. Throughout her career, Ms. Stricchiola has been an advocate for accountability, transparency, and explainability in the development and use of algorithms and artificial intelligence in emerging technologies, and for building responsible technology platforms. Her work on the issue of click fraud within the paid search (PPC) industry has been featured in numerous media outlets, including NPR, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Wired.com, CNN Money, and in The Google Story (First Edition, David a. Vise). She holds an MSc from the University of Edinburgh in Data and AI Ethics.
