She is also an instructor of emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Huancahuari is a graduate of the University of California at Davis School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in emergency medicine at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Huancahuari is the Assistant Director of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety for the Department of Emergency Medicine. In this role, she chairs and is also a member of several hospital-wide committees that review clinical cases to ensure that the standard of care is met. Furthermore, she leads performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing both patient care and safety within the emergency department and the hospital at large.
