I am a board certified (ABEM) emergency physician with over 18 years of post-graduate clinical experience working full-time in a Level I Trauma Center with a large dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department. Academically, I train pediatric emergency medicine fellows; emergency medicine, pediatric, internal medicine, family practice, orthopedic, and obstetrics/gynecology residents, as well as medical students and physician assistants. I am the medical director for two Urgent Care facilities. I am active in our specialty as an oral board examiner (ABEM) and I have dedicated part of my career to clinical research (mainly pediatric emergency medicine). Additionally, I have served as the Institutional Review Board co-chair of our hospital and as a member of our ED Quality Committee. Prior to medical school I worked as an epidemiologist and as an EMT. My training in epidemiology gives me the skill to critically assess the literature and apply it scientifically and clinically to legal cases. I have over eight years of experience as an expert witness and completed SEAK expert witness training courses. I am board certified (AOA) in addiction medicine and have extensive experience with Suboxone for opiate use disorder. I have served as an expert for both defense and plaintiff cases.
