Dr. Michael Lao MD is a board certified full time Urologist specializing in benign and malignant disease within Urology. He has further sub specialty fellowship training in urinary reconstruction, stricture disease, male infertility, and prosthetic surgery for incontinence and erectile dysfunction. He completed his Urological training at The University of Connecticut, followed by his fellowship at the Smith Institute for Urology in Long Island, NY. He has extensive clinical and surgical experience as a full time physician at the world-famous City of Hope Medical Center in Southern California. He remains active in national and international society meetings. He is also author of several urological book chapters and original research. He is an effective communicator, able to deliver clear and concise summaries in a timely manner. He is an experienced speaker to public and medical professionals regarding urological conditions. I am a fellowship trained and board certified interventional and diagnostic radiologist. I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. I graduated law school and passed the bar exam prior to practicing medicine. My combined medical and legal training provides a unique perspective as an expert witness. My current group covers both a large academic center along with multiple outpatient imaging centers. My practice primarily involves minimally invasive image guided procedures. I also practice the entire gamut of diagnostic radiology.
