I am a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist with over 20 years of continuous, full-time clinical experience in labor management, delivery, and high-risk obstetrics. I am unique among Obstetrican-Gynecologist experts because I spent the first nine years of my career practicing OBGYN as a board certified Family Physician, and also taught Obstetrics to medical students, residents, and even midwives for the majority of my career. I actively practice today, ensuring that my opinions reflect current standards of care in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
My background includes a B.S. in Bioengineering from Texas A&M University and an M.D. from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. I completed residencies in both Family Medicine (Womack Army Medical Center) and Obstetrics & Gynecology (Tripler Army Medical Center), and served 21 years as an Army physician & surgeon before retiring honorably.
