I am board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology and am also trained in public health. My professional life has been primarily dedicated to general endocrinology as a clinician at a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital system, The Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), which consists of three community hospitals and 22+ neighborhood health centers. I have been in clinical practice for 38 years, and division chief of endocrinology at CHA for 27 years. I recently transitioned from full time clinician/teacher to part time clinical practice and continue in my role as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. I have been involved in and/or spearheaded many quality improvement projects during my time at CHA. I was recognized as collaborative colleague of the year in past years, and recently was awarded a lifetime achievement award for my work at CHA.
