I am ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition. I completed a BS in Human Nutrition at Michigan State University and MD at Wayne State University. I also have performed non-degree studies in Public Health. I completed specialty training in Internal Medicine at Baltimore City Hospital/Francis Scott Key Medical Center/Johns Hopkins University and a Clinical/Senior Research Fellowship in Endocrinology and Nutrition at the University of Washington. Academic faculty positions have included Medical College of Pennsylvania, Tulane University, Louisiana State University-New Orleans and Pennington Biomedical Research Center. My research has focused on the effects of nutrients, hormones and estrogen on lipid and bone metabolism. Dr Graf has been practicing medicine in the field of Diabetes and clinical Endocrinology for over 40 years. He is highly experienced in the management of patients with diabetes and various endocrine disorders. These include patients with Type I and type 2 diabetes, and diseases of the thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, parathyroid and reproductive glands. He also treats other metabolic disorders such as obesity, osteoporosis, hypoglycemia and hypercalcemia. Dr. Graf is currently an active member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). Dr. Graf enjoys teaching. He speaks frequently to the local medical community on the management of diabetes and other endocrine disorders.
