Dr. Toloza-Thompson has been actively practicing as a residency-trained/Board-certified Emergency Medicine physician in Texas for 20+ years. She served as Medical Director of her community-hospital Emergency Department for almost 17 years and was responsible for developing policies, overseeing departmental operations, performing quality and utilization reviews, and providing leadership to staff physicians and supervision to Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants). She also served as her site's Quality Director for 18+ years and continues to be involved with medical record reviews for quality assurance and process improvement. She has been retained as a medical expert in five medical malpractice cases and five criminal law cases.
